He has returned to the Australian jungle to present I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, after taking a year off to focus on his recovery from alcohol and prescription drug addictions.

And Ant McPartlin looked delighted  as he filmed his first scenes for the new series alongside co-host Declan Donnelly on a luxury speedboat in Australia's Gold Coast on Thursday.

The TV host, 43, couldn't keep the smile off his face as he shared a laugh with Dec, 44, on the boat as they sped away from the Palazzo Versace hotel, with the I'm A Celeb campmates in tow.

Ant looked stylish in a monochrome patterned shirt and blue chinos as he enjoyed quality time with his best pal and co-host on the boardwalk, before boarding a boat set for the jungle.

Dec was delighted to have his best friend back by his side, two years on from their last stint on the show, as he joked with Ant, while clad in a slate grey shirt, white trousers and trainers.

The pair were in good celebrity company for the trip with campmates Caitlyn Jenner, 70, Kate Garraway, 52, James Haskell, 34, Nadine Coyle, 34, Myles Stephenson, 28,  and Ian Wright, 56, all following behind.

The new I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp team were also in attendance with 2018 finalist Emily Atack, 29, and 2016 finalist Adam Thomas, 31, also in attendance.

The duo have replaced former presenters Joe Swash and Scarlett Moffatt in the roles, with comedian Joel Dommett, 33, returning as the third host.

Make a style statement in Ant's skeleton print shirt by Saint Laurent

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are in Australia for I'm A Celebrity, but there's no camping or safari uniforms for these two. It's speedboats and designer shirts all the way!

This short sleeved style is by Saint Laurent and we love the Mexican party skeleton print. Look closely at Ant's shirt and you'll spot a bar, a piano, a card game going on... if nothing else this shirt is worth the price to be a talking point!

Click (right) to buy it now, then style yours simply with black jeans and desert boots.

Or play with prints on a budget with the help of our edit below. Boohoo, Topman, Quiz and AllSaints have all got top notch options that will do the trick.

This year sees the return of Ant on the show after Holly Willoughby filled in for him last year as he took a lengthy hiatus from screens to battle his own personal demons.

His presenting duties were originally suspended by ITV in March 2018 after he was arrested following a road collision with a green Mini and a maroon BMW.

Ant later pleaded guilty to driving under the influence at Wimbledon Crown Court. He was banned from driving for 20-months and fined a British record £86,000 for drink-driving.

Speaking in August 2018, the presenter confirmed he was taking a temporary break from all presenting duties in order to focus on his recovery.

In a statement, he said: 'My recovery is going very well and for that to continue having spoken to Dec and ITV, I have made the decision to take the rest of the year off.

'I'd like to thank both Dec and ITV for their continued support and I look forward to getting back to work in the new year.'

Ant and Dec recently posted a snap of themselves to their Instagram account as they prepare to host the latest series of I'm A Celebrity.

The outing comes after Dec admitted that he thought he had 'lost' his best friend of 31 years for good when Ant was arrested for a drink-driving conviction last year.

Speaking in their ITV documentary Ant & Dec’s DNA Journey, Dec said: 'It has been a tough couple of years and it has tested the bond we have shared since we were 13.'

Dec added: 'I was incredibly angry at the start, so angry. Disappointed that he didn't ever come to me and say "I am struggling, I need you," because that is what I would do if the shoe was on the other foot. And he never came to me and that hurt me a lot.'

The ITV documentary was halted for two years while Ant took a break from the spotlight to battle his addiction to alcohol and prescription drugs. He admitted himself to rehab for further treatment.

During this time, Dec admitted he was 'filled with fear' at the thought of no longer having Ant by his side.

This year's I'm A Celeb line-up has been lauded as 'one of the best ever' by Dec in a chat with MailOnline.

Reality titan and former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner, 70, leads the stars heading into the jungle, with former footballer Ian Wright,56 and ex EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa, 27, also part of the line-up.

Also competing for the title of King or Queen of the Jungle will be Nadine Coyle, 34; Roman Kemp, 26; Andrew Maxwell, 44; Myles Stephenson, 28; Adele Roberts, 40; Kate Garraway, 52, and James Haskell, 34.

Of course, as the enduring ITV favourite – now entering its 19th series – is known for putting its contestants through a laundry list of gruelling Bushtucker Trials, the new stars have also shared their fears and phobias.

Unsurprisingly, spiders, snakes and creepy-crawlies sit atop that list, while others have admitted that the toughest struggle they anticipate enduring is being separated from their loved ones for potentially a full month.

Before the inevitable tantrums, tears and unspeakable culinary offerings (who could forget the crocodile testicles, live witchety grubs or fish eyes?), the new recruits have also opened up about what they anticipate on the show.

I'm A Celebrity kicks off on Sunday 17 November at 9pm on ITV.
