Yesterday and this mornings snow dropped up to 18 inches of snow on the state, prompting closings and cancellations.
Highways are clear, but side streets are still snow covered in many areas, making travel difficult in local towns.
Union County College is closed today.
Union County has posted the following cancellations on its website: The COP-2-COP training; the county’s Planning Board meeting; the Taxation meeting; Warinanco Ice Skating Rink (cancelled all public sessions), the Police Academy; Paratransit Service was suspended and the Superior Court was closed.
Many public and private schools were also closed.
NJ Transit is reporting that service is running close to normal, with 10-15 minute delays.
