In recent years the UMCG has proven to be very successful in getting research (infrastructure) funding, as for LifeLines, ERIBA and the Mouse Clinic for Ageing Research. The turn-over for governmental funded research (2e geldstroom) and for contract research (3e, 4e geldstroom) is in a few years increased with 30 M Euro to over 66 M Euro in 2012. This substantial increase in external funded research resulted in a tremendous increase in scientific output and in additional developments of state-of-the-art research facilities. And things are not coming to an end yet. The UMCG is proud to informe you here about its leading initiatives and collaborations and about the bright minds behind them.
