 Listen to the Slavic languages

Technical hints

1. In order to hear the audiofiles you need Windows Media Player, a free programme which is installed on most computers. If it is not on yours, you can download it here.

2. There is a chance that, when you listen to the audiofiles, the Windows Media Player display will fill almost the whole screen so that you cannot read the text while listening. You can do something about that by minimizing the WMP display (View – Compact Mode) and dragging it to a corner of the screen.

3. Besides listening to the audio files in streaming audio, it is possible to download them (you get that opportunity after you have chosen a language). The downloading can take quite some time, depending on the speed of your internet connection. If your connection is really slow there is a chance that you will not be able to download the files at all. At the moment, the sound quality of the downloadable files is higher than that of the streaming audio files.

4. You can download the files either in MP3 or in WAV format. WAV offers better quality, but MP3 files are much smaller and have the advantage that you can play them on an up-to-date CD player.
