The letter L comes from Latin LEGERE, meaning

The letter S comes from Latin SCRIBERE, meaning to write. The S is used to list languages I can write, first of all the languages I can write well. The languages I can write if I really have to are listed in parentheses.
The language NL is given in uppercase to indicate that this is my native language.
