Dear Mr. Nerbonne, I'm sure you're aware of this, but sometimes it's a little disheartening how poor of a grasp the students have on statistical terminology ... since one of the chief goals of the course is to learn how to report/talk about statistical results, it might be worth taking some time (perhaps it's too late now) to clarify some of it. The most common mistakes include: - referring to the p-value as "het sigma" (thanks to "Sig." in the SPSS output) - referring to the p-value as "het significantieniveau" (which is of course used to denote α instead) - H0 and H1 rather than H0 and HA - talking about "rejecting the alternative hypothesis"... perhaps not drastically wrong, but seems very unconventional?
