  1. agreeing on the common task we've promised, and common
  measuring sticks.  Miles Osborne's presentation will be 
  about this.

  2. agreeing on next meetings
    A. ca. Sept. 15  midterm meeting  
       Would Dublin be a possible site?
    B. Should someone suggest a meeting of SIGNLL in Bergen
    at the EACL '99 meeting with the topic, learning NL sysntax?
    I'd be happy to join in this effort, and I'd suggest that
    we find a way to invite a speaker whom we'd like to hear from.

  3. It would be useful to have some short papers summarizing
  what others' results have been on this topic.  Or references
  to such works if they've appeared in article-length form.
