This volume contains a selection of papers that were presented at
the fourth CLIN meeting. The fourth CLIN meeting was held in Groningen
on November 25 1993.
The aim of the CLIN meeting is to provide an opportunity for Dutch (in
the widest sense possible) computational linguists to report on their
work. The CLIN meeting also functions as an informal meeting place. As
in previous years the program indicated that the CLIN
meeting is not only important for the local Dutch and Belgian scene,
but clearly has an international appeal to it. We were very happy
that Ewan Klein (University of Edinburgh) accepted to function as
our Keynote Speaker.
The program listed 24 papers. Sixteen papers were eventually submitted
for inclusion in this volume. After the reviewing procedure, a
selection of 12 papers remained. You will find these papers here.
This year the contents of the CLIN proceedings are also available
electronically, thru World Wide Web, as a sub-page of the Home Page
of CLIN:
If you don't have access to a WWW server you can try anonymous ftp to
ftp.let.rug.nl in directory pub/vannoord/Clin4.
We would like to thank all the people who contributed to the fourth
CLIN meeting. In particular we are grateful to the reviewers
(Walter Daelemans, Joke Dorrepaal, Jan van Eijck, Jan Landsbergen,
John Nerbonne en Anton Nijholt). Thanks are also due to
BCN (Groningen Center for Behavioral &Cognitive Neurosciences)
and the CLCG (Center for Language and Cognition Groningen).
Their financial support allowed us to organise the meeting, and to
produce these proceedings.
See you at the next CLIN!

To the statistics page. How often is each paper accessed? What is the most popular paper?? Interesting questions especially if you're an author!
