To get the euro symbol in LaTeX:

Head:

     \usepackage{eurofont}

Body:

     \euro
     \euros{12.34}

The command \euro gets you the euro symbol.

The command \euros{12.34} gets you the euro symbol with the value 12.34.
The euro symbol is put left of the value, unless the package was invoked with:

    \usepackage[right]{eurofont}
