Note that this line of argument is the opposite of Tovena's 1992: if it is assumed that the manifestations are the same, then it is also assumed that the causes are the same. In other words, if polarity sensitivity is supposed to be one phenomenon, that implies that one treatment is going to deal with it (Tovena (1992): 26).
