summary
|
This article addresses the Rich Agreement Hypothesis (RAH): the idea that head movement and richness of verbal agreement are correlated. It discusses the various versions of the RAH as it took shape in the past
decades, the recent revival of the RAH in its strong form, and the assumptions on the relation between morphology and syntax underlying presumed correlations between verb movement and morphological strength/richness.
