The same can be noted with respect to other negative expressions. Children are inclined to use niet (not) to negate universal quantifiers like iedereen (everyone), altijd (always), allemaal (all of them), and (all)pressing the meanings of niemand (no one), nooit (never), geen (no, quant.), and niks (nothing):
