STIL Thesis Award

New bi-annual STIL PhD Thesis Award from CLIN 30 onwards

Since CLIN 20 in Utrecht (2010), STIL has sponsored a Master Thesis Award for excellent theses on any aspect of Computational Linguistics. Instead of this Master Thesis award, from CLIN 30 onwards, STIL will sponsor a PhD thesis award. The prize of 2500 euro will be awarded by an international jury of distinguished Computational Linguistics researchers to a PhD thesis defended the three previous years at a Dutch or Belgian University. The exact procedure and deadlines for submission, as well as the composition of the jury will be announced well in advance of CLIN 30, where the first prize will be awarded.

STIL

STIL (Foundation for Inductive Learning Applications), was founded in 1997 as a link to the outside world for language technology software and expertise developed at Tilburg University's Induction of Linguistic Knowledge (ILK) research group and the University of Antwerp's Computational Linguistics and Psycholinguistics Research Center (CLiPS).
