Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kürschner (homepage)

Sebastian worked in our project from March 2007 until March 2009 as a post doc researcher. He is now a professor of for variational linguistics and language contact at the University of Erlangen Nürnberg.

We collaborate with members of the VNC project investigating mutual intelligibility in Belgium and the Netherlands. The web pages below give more information about the current activities and recent output from that project:

We collaborate with Dorthe Bleses and her team at the Syddansk Universitet in Odense.

Center for Læseforskning, University of Copenhagen

Together with Holger Juul at the University of Copenhagen, we investigate the role of Danish spelling for the intelligibility of spoken Swedish an Danish listeners.

Gerard Doetjes (Fremmedspråksenteret, Høgskolen i Østfold)

We work together with Gerard Doetjes on projects concerning the role of orthography in mutual intelligibility between the Scandinavian languages.
