Modern music begins with the Velvets, and the implications and influence of what they did seem to go on forever...The only thing I think would be a mistake...would be romanticizing them too much

Many of the sources I have used in this essay are not taken from experienced historians, but from people who have good knowlegde of what actually happened around the Velvet Underground and Andy Warhol. The problem can be how objective they are. Much of people who are quoted and used in this essay are fans of the band and Andy Warhol: there is always a danger that they are romanticizing too much. On the other hand, these people have been close to the band and Andy Warhol, and therefore I think these people are the persons that know the truth around the connection best.
